Bagster Tank Cover
The Bagster tank cover fits well, and makes attaching and detaching the tank bag easier. (But see later).

Fitting the 'bra' was awkward, and I ended up making some modifications to make life easier - I didn't want a major undertaking every time I wanted to lift the tank. Click on the thumbnail to load the larger image in a new window.

The strap and buckle provided did not lend themselves to attaching to the Pan easily. I chopped the longer strap and sewed in a new buckle.

With the tank raised, and fairing off for servicing, I installed a new length of strap. No buckles, just sealed ends. Threaded under the stay provided on each side, and across the top of the frame, behind the tank bolts.

Here shown loosely in place with the tank and fairing pockets refitted.

Here showing the strap in its normal position.

The trailing end draped over the side pocket for now.

Here showing the bra fitted. The strap is tightened by pulling down, but then I have doubled it back on itself so that the loose end is threaded back through the buckle. At this point I hadn't decided what to do with the loose end, to keep it out of the way of the steering. It seems to have found its way into the fairing pocket, and that is where it usually stays. An alternative is to pull it back under the bra, over the tank, before fastening the sides and rear.

Rear strap, threaded through the seat adjuster.

Bra fitted. Not a good photo - I actually took this to show the new screen !
